This beginner-friendly class will introduce students to digital generative art creation! Generative Art can be understood as “Art that is created, in part or in whole, through the use of an autonomous system or computer code, and that often relies on elements of randomness or chance.” (MOMA) We’ll treat the computer as our creative partner, using visual tools to design dynamic and captivating visuals. No prior coding experience is required. In the past, coding skills were essential for delving into this art form, but recent software advancements have made it more accessible and visual. Gain invaluable experience using visual programming tools, designing dynamic visual systems, and building your creative problem-solving skills! Join us to unlock the creative potential of digital generative art!
