Ongoing, individual sessions: Biweekly Sundays, 12:00pm - 2:00pm All ages Register for a single class or save with a multi-class multipass! See "Memberships and Passes" for more info. Practice your portrait skills by drawing yourself in a group setting with a calm atmosphere. We will each have our own mirror to draw our reflections, leading to self acceptance, self-love and awareness. These portraits are meant not only as a means to improve your drawing skills, but as a spiritual practice of mindfulness. The portraits can potentially become finished works. As a group we are there to support each other, noting our uniqueness and our similarities. Figure drawing instructor and professional artist, Aryssa Hutchins, will be your guide. "Drawing or painting a self-portrait has been the way many artists reveal their deepest feelings and ideas. The mirror enables you to analyze your body and soul, then directly translate those feelings into brush strokes. I've been painting self-portraits since the age of 15 and just turned 68. Over those 53 years the self-portraits reveal an incredible range of expressions and become a diary witnessing one's state of mind at various stations in life." - Alex Grey, 2022 All necessary supplies will be provided.
