Service Description

One-day workshops. Upcoming sessions: - Sunday, Dec 1, 2:00pm - 4:00pm - Friday, Dec 6, 6:30pm - 8:30pm Register for each workshop separately. Ages 15+ In this engaging workshop, students will create a reusable, drawstring gift bag, perfect for holiday giving, birthdays, or special occasions. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the process, making it ideal for beginners who want to explore new sewing skills and for intermediate sewists looking to expand their project repertoire. With detailed instruction, you’ll learn techniques to craft a sturdy, eco-friendly bag, and you’ll receive tips to create bags of various sizes for future projects. By the end of the session, everyone will leave with at least one finished bag, ready to be filled with gifts or used for storage. Experienced sewists can add their unique touch with fabric choice, embellishments, or even experimenting with the bag’s size and shape. Please bring with you: - A functional sewing machine with a regular foot, thread, and bobbin - Sewing accessories, like pins and scissors - Any accessories you would like included with the bag Supplies provided: - All fabrics and written instructions to complete this project Optional to bring: - A water bottle - Layered clothing Lana Levy has been passionate about crafting for most of her life, starting with sewing at a young age. In recent years, she has focused on quilting and delights in creating practical items that bring joy and serve others' needs. Her latest venture into purse making blends functionality with creativity, and she enjoys sharing her expertise and experiences with others.
