Service Description

Ongoing, individual classes: Wednesdays, *November 13 - December 18, 12pm - 2pm *(No class on 11/27) Ages 11+ RSVP for each session separately In this intermediate watercolor offering, we will be exploring different watercolor techniques by painting different winter scenes, going over each painting step-by-step. Techniques we will explore together include wet on wet, wet on dry, and salt application. Join us as we enjoy themes of the season and develop our watercolor skills together. Each session, students will have the opportunity to pick what watercolor painting they would like to complete: - Lake reflection - Leaf fairy - Cocoa and candle - Girl carrying wreath - Tree ornament Optional supplies: - Any personal watercolor paintbrushes you're partial to - Layered clothing - Water in a container with a spill-proof lid - hydration is important! All additional supplies will be provided. Sister Elita Burnett is a seasoned watercolor artist with a lifelong passion for creative expression, from drawing and painting to crafting. She has been teaching art since the age of 12, sharing her expertise and enthusiasm with young students ages 5 to 13. Her favorite medium, watercolor, allows her to capture delicate details and vibrant compositions, inspiring students to explore their own artistic voices. Sister Burnett also enjoys playing the harp and piano, and is an avid creative writer, adding a rich, multidisciplinary perspective to her teaching. Space is currently limited to 15 people per session. Open to ages 11+
