Erin first started experimenting with hand-dyeing silk scarves as a way to engage her brain differently than she typically does in her day job as a social worker, and to create little glimmers of sunshine to give to friends and family. Through the creative process, she began to better understand technique, equipment, styles, and product. She is enjoying the challenge and receive much joy from seeing her scarves brought to life.
